By adopting a holistic approach to watershed management, we aim to improve the livelihoods of rural communities, enhance ecosystem services, and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is a pioneering initiative that guarantees 100 days of wage employment to rural households. Our department is committed to implementing MGNREGA effectively, ensuring that rural communities have access to dignified work opportunities, improved livelihoods, and a safety net during times of economic distress.
